Brandon I. Brooks is currently the Managing Editor of the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper & the L.A. Watts Times Newspaper. He also serves as a sales and advertising executive.

In addition to editorial and sales duties, Brooks coordinates and assists the development of Bakewell Media’s digital platforms which consists of the L.A. Sentinel, L.A. Watts Times and Taste of Soul festival websites, social media platforms, e-mail marketing, and mobile app development.

He currently works with the Sabriya’s Castle of Fun Foundation that helps children with cancer and leukemia by holding blood drives and hosting parties at Children’s Hospital. Brandon also volunteers with Brotherhood Crusade and Mothers in Action.

The L.A .Sentinel/Bakewell Media is also the organizer of the Taste of Soul family festival, the largest family festival in LA County, where Mr. Brooks oversees the editorial, photography and videography for the event.

He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach where he majored in Communications.
